Watch: Biden Goes Completely Unhinged When Asked Questions About His Son
Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign has been on a downward slope for a while now, and his most recent outburst against Trump proves precisely why.
On Friday, Biden held a press conference at a Service Employee Summit, in which he ranted that President Donald Trump was “unhinged” and “the most corrupt president ever.”
The tension between the two has been rather high ever since the news that Trump had asked both Ukrainian and Chinese officials to look into Hunter Biden, Joe’s son, and his business dealings with the two nations. Trump believed some sort of corruption was going on, and as he posted on Twitter on Friday, “As President, I have an obligation to end CORRUPTION, even if that means requesting the help of a foreign country or countries.”
Trump says it has nothing “to do with politics or a political campaign against the Bidens. This does have to do with their corruption!”
Naturally, Biden apparently does not like being accused of or having his son, being accused of corruption. Thus, he is more than willing to turn the tables and say that President Trump’s actions are what is corrupt.
However, it’s hard to follow when he can’t keep his story straight or even make up his mind.
In Friday’s press conference, Biden said he would not answer any questions about his son and his Ukrainian dealings. And yet a couple of minutes later, when one was asked, he did answer it.
And then just a minute or two later, another question was asked. However, this one, which is hard to understand in the video, must not have been to Biden’s liking or struck a nerve. Because it was at this moment that Biden decided to let loose.
He told the press that he would not respond to it and would not answer questions about his son. He said that both the media and all of Congress should be focused on Trump and his corruption. He claims that all of Trump’s actions against the Bidens are about trying to ruin his name and his chance at the presidency.
Just make up your mind, would you?
And then he said, “This guy (Trump) like all bullies is a coward. He does not want to run against me. That’s what this is about.”
Sounds a little vein, if you ask me. And disillusioned.
The most recent polls are showing that Biden has pretty much already lost his grip on the Oval Office, as Senator Elizabeth Warren is quickly overtaking him. And it’s not really new news.
According to the Economist/YouGov poll, the former vice president is no less than six points behind the Massachusetts senator. And a Monmouth University poll puts him squarely behind Warren by three points.
The Monmouth poll “finds Warren (28%) and Biden (25%) at the front of the pack for the presidential nomination preferences of self-identified Democrats and Democrat-leaning voters across the country, with Sanders (15%) following behind.”
He was just behind Warren in the month of August as well, according to the same poll.
And while several other polls still show him in the lead, Warren is steadily gaining on him. RealClearPolitics poll shows Biden with 26.2% and Warren at 24%.
When it comes to finances, he isn’t doing so well, either. He currently brings in less in fundraising each month than Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana.
Experts agree that much of this has to do with Biden’s age and the fact that he has made some pretty serious errors when it comes to public speaking and his campaign. The gaffes have led many of his supporters to believe that maybe he isn’t up to the challenges of the White House like they thought. And Warren is slowly gaining the support he is losing.
Needless to say, his campaign isn’t looking so good, regardless of Trump’s accusations or his families possibly corrupt business dealings. Sure, the allegations have had and will most likely continue to have an adverse effect on his campaign, but it’s clear by these polling numbers that Trump isn’t worried about Biden’s chances.
