See Why Facial Recognition Technology is Raising Big Concerns Among Democrats

Law enforcement in New York is working hard to equip its force with facial recognition technology. But they are facing extreme opposition as many believe it violates privacy and is illegal without the consent of people being targeted. The crazy people fighting the technology has declared that the police need to have consent from criminals before they can be identified and apprehended. This fight that is stopping law enforcement from doing their job is just as bad as sanctuary cities.

The lawsuit is being brought by two people from Illinois of all places. They are claiming that the company took their pictures from social media and is using it in their system. What they are claiming is that the rights under Illinois’ Biometric Information Privacy Act have been violated. Funny that they do not even live in New York, and they can affect laws in another state.

The Clearwater AI program can identify criminals from just one photo. This allows the police to zero in on a person’s location with little interruption to everyday life. The software was developed with the sole purpose to aid law enforcement and nothing else. These two people from Illinois are crying about nothing. Unless they are criminals from New York.

The Democrats in New York are just upset that this kind of technology exists. New York City is just the latest place to become a sanctuary city. The last thing that De Blasio wants to see is some kind of software that can target illegals and criminals.

The company has stated that “Clearview’s legal team will respond to this lawsuit in due course.  The company is committed to operating within bounds of applicable laws and regulations.” The company is working with several major cities as it tests the reliability of such technology. So far it has a 99.6 percent accuracy rating.

The motive behind the technology is to help protect the public from criminals in hiding. Ton-That is the brain that built the software. He has stated that “We believe that what we’re doing is in the public interest. When these pedophiles are caught, the investigators have all these photos, hundreds and hundreds of kids and for the first time, they can identify the victims.” The motive and the technology is solid. For these two complainers to try to stop the usage of it in New York is stupidity at its finest.

What it all boils down to is what exactly is the company using. By law, they can only use public information. Many of the social media sites have told the company to stop accessing their systems. But Ton-That stated that “It’s a little hypocritical. Google has a lot of personal and private information. They track where you go around the web, and they sell ads to you and they have your private emails. We’re not taking any personal data.”

There is always a danger that technology could be used horribly. But that kind of fear is reserved for when the Democrats ever control such systems. They already lie about their activities and who it is that they do business with. There is no reason to trust them if use such systems for their gain.

The photos that are being used have been found on public domain sites. This means that the photos are free to be taken and used. The two people from Illinois do not have their facts straight when they filed their lawsuit. To sit and worry about being followed or identified is paranoia. Unless you are a wanted criminal there is no reason to fear.

People worry about being followed or have their pictures taken by a third party. But they fail to realize that there are thousands of cameras taking pictures and filming them as they move throughout their day. If the public was not aware of this technology, then there really would not be any fight. Life still goes on even when people are watched on cameras. If there were no cameras in today’s world, crime rates would be higher than ever.

  1. facial recognition will only affect the guilty. home invaders, rapists,
    criminals of all kinds.
Only the guilty will be sent to court.
Remember the guilty can kill you to.
Now help save yourself, Let the police use the best
    to catch the worst.
BET it can save more then one life’

  2. This technology could also identify and track possible terrorist…don’t forget that there are those from the Mideast and other countries are crossing the border…

  3. If there is anything to worry about in this technology it is, what if it is misused or
falls into the wrong hands? We hear what is going on in China where people are
being rounded up and punished for not thinking in a way the government feels
appropriate or have religious beliefs considered offensive to them. Does the
book “1984” come to mind? If I’m going to be put on a target list because of
something I wrote or said, weeding out all the criminals and deviants in the world
will not make me feel good about it. Why not control our borders and eliminate
sanctuary cities and bring our legal system back to where it needs to be, before we
    invade everyone’s privacy?

  4. Hmmm

ANY freedom loving Patriotic American who actually is willing to support and defend the Constitution and the Republic would be terrified of facial recognition. And for the record, there isn’t a “facial recognition system” in existence on the planet that does not generate huge numbers of false positives. And every single one of those “systems” like America’s electronic voting “systems” can be easily and quickly reprogrammed to give any desired result. Facial recognition is just another tool of oppression and tyranny.

And oh by the way I am a life long independent who strongly supports the Constitution and the Bill of Rights including but not limited to Freedom of expression, assembly, religion. The right to bear arms ( any arms I damn well want just as the 2nd Amendment is written. And of course the 4th Amendment which facial recogniztion violates. The government is conducting a warrantless search without even bothering with pretense of a general warrant.

Trying to justify violating the Bill of Rights for any reason is at the very least sedidtion. Attempting to support taking away our freedom using Partisan Politics isn’t just illogical, it defies common sense.

No duly procured and served warrant means NO SEARCH. And no government agency or official, no court has the Constitutional ethical or moral right to override it.

    1. “So far it has a 99.6 percent accuracy rating.”
FAKE NEWS!! As well as Tea Party propaganda. The DOCUMENTED success rate is less than 40%

  5. If you have a phone, visit Web sites on your computer , and frequent Social Media sites like Facebook your personal information becomes part of the social domain. If you visit Ebay , this site remembers you email address and then you will get adds from Ebay on your browser without asking for these adds. I do agree with the concept that you should not fear information if you committed no crime. Thank heaven we have passwords to protect us from attacks by evil hackers. I know that if a criminal wants your information bad enough, there is nothing preventing them from getting information if they have the proper technical skills. When a person is killed or when a person may have committed a crime, law enforcement can open a computer or phone for there personal information on both.

  6. I am sorry, but I have to laugh. Anyone who posts a picture on social media, writes about “having dinner with Aunt Matilda” or their vacation to Bigsby or Indio or New York City, or I Love Chocolate, whatever, and posts it for all the world to see, then gripes about invasion of privacy, thinks their rights are violated, sues, or even THINKS about a privacy issue has at least a thought process issue at minimum. Scratch that. Has a hole where there is NO thought process.

(Side note: Sorry, but there is no device or network which is truly hacker free, even banks, the FBI, DOD, CIA have been hacked regardless of firewalls or anything. Modems, software, pictures, Man-in-the-middle attacks on router hardware, Emails, etc. will let someone in if they know how and want to do so. As to pictures, notice the cameras in the median on the freeways, even on those lonely stretches. They’re pervasive. Pictures on devices aren’t necessarily something they might be after. However, a hacker tends to want financial info, but a picture for ID is good.)

If I was known for promoting, arranging, encouraging, paying for, busing, recorded for saying “we will do anything to win an election,” especially by double and illegal voting, I’d oppose facial recognition as well. Besides the additional fiscal outlay, as disguises for all those illegal voters could get expensive.

  7. Funny how that old BS of “If you’ve done no wrong, you have nothing to fear!” is always played out full volume – What it fails to say is “If those in Authority over you say you have done no wrong – blah blah BS !” Where “Those in Authority over you” ranges from The Whitehouse , Senate, HoR, local Mayor, Traffic Warden, Cop, School Crossing or just your unfriendly neighbour ”
One thing about being Paranoid – You just Know you are right and that They are after you !
Survival is simply NOT trusting others.

  8. Facial recognition software has it’s uses.

VOTING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT USAGE!

For most all other uses, the DANGER OF KEEPING TABS ON EVERYBODY ALL THE TIME is EXTREMELY WORRISOME.

Like the cops driving through the stores and mall parking lots getting every vehicle, then uploading to to a database WITHOUT “probably Cause”?

PEOPLE in government AND THE COPS DOING IT really need to be in prison while their Citizenship is questioned.
ANY PERSON that would seek to DENY ANY CITIZEN THEIR RIGHTS deserve NO RIGHTS in their own name!

  9. Hi, I simply like the template you implemented on your website. Do you have web browser compatibility problems? Some of my site visitors usually complain about having challenges whenever browsing my website and it is really becoming annoying. Most of the gripes have had to do with IE. Are there any sort of possible remedy or possible suggestions concerning what to do? Would certainly appreciate your assistance.
