DHS Attempts to Brand Trump Supporters Terrorists In New Terrorism Advisory
President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security has spent their time identifying a new threat: conservatives.
According to a DHS Terrorism Advisory, Americans should be on the lookout for those pesky election protesters who have made Democrats’ lives so miserable in the weeks since the Nov.3 2020 presidential election that many considered to have been a fraud.
But, in an effort that will no doubt put things to right (or maybe just serve their own purpose of rebranding Trump supporters) DHS released its advisory on Jan. 27 of 2021, saying that “The Acting Secretary of Homeland Security has issued a National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Bulletin due to a heightened threat environment across the United States, which DHS believes will persist in the weeks following the successful Presidential Inauguration.
The bulletin went on to say that “Information suggests that some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence.”
While it would seem logical that if there were some protests that resulted in death that prompted a terrorism advisory, they would all merit at least a slap on the wrist. But that’s just not the case under the Biden administration.
According to the details of the advisory in 2020 “Domestic Violent Extremists (DVEs) targeted individuals with opposing views engaged in First Amendment-protected, non-violent protest activity.”
While the Black Lives Matter protests got several words of little more than a footnote, the primary issues cited were by far the least problematic protests and carried out by … you guessed it …. Conservatives.
“DVEs motivated by a range of issues, including anger over COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 election results, and police use of force have plotted and on occasion carried out attacks against government facilities,” the advisory stated.
“Long-standing racial and ethnic tension—including opposition to immigration—has driven DVE attacks, including a 2019 shooting in El Paso, Texas that killed 23 people.”
Below are some more comments made in the advisory, with clarification by this author in italics, when it seems appropriate.
“DHS is concerned these same drivers to violence will remain through early 2021 and some DVEs may be emboldened by the January 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. to target elected officials and government facilities. In other words, the really bad ones saw their brothers in arms take the capital, they’ll be emboldened!!
“DHS remains concerned that Homegrown Violent Extremists (HVEs) inspired by foreign terrorist groups, who committed three attacks targeting government officials in 2020, remain a threat.” You can probably guess this one: the election protesters are being branded, Homegrown Terrorists. Rich, isn’t it?
“Threats of violence against critical infrastructure, including the electric, telecommunications and healthcare sectors, increased in 2020 with violent extremists citing misinformation and conspiracy theories about COVID-19 for their actions.” In other words, you decide to buck whatever restrictions put into place under the guise of COVID-19 protection, you’re part of the problem. You question what they tell you about COVID (to facilitate whatever rights they want to revoke) you’re part of the problem.
“DHS, as well as other Federal agencies and law enforcement partners will continue to take precautions to protect people and infrastructure across the United States.” Consider yourself warned: now that protesting the election didn’t work, they plan to make peon voters regret they ever tried to throw off the bonds of the Democrat’s chokehold on the government.
“DHS remains committed to preventing violence and threats meant to intimidate or coerce specific populations on the basis of their religion, race, ethnicity, identity or political views.” As long as they’re consistent with the ever-moving target of what Democrats believe on any given day and what political correctness dictates in the most recent issue of “Buzzfeed” or “The New York Times.”
